At Langdon-Hyde Interior Design it is our mission to help people reinvent their interiors to suit their situation whether that be a new home, an empty nest, starting-over or a complete refresh of an existing space.

We pride ourselves in creating schemes that are mood enhancing. To do this we develop a colour palette and utilise materials that focus on the well-being of the occupants.

We take our cues from a building’s character and its location and create a comfortable, easy living space which incorporates a sense of the past, but with a modern twist.

Our style is considered, thoughtful and personal to each of our clients.

Hi, I’m Carolyn

My obsession with fashion and fabrics is at the heart of my interior design journey which started way back in 1991. Until that time I had been successfully decorating my own home and doing a decent job of making soft furnishings for friends and family. Leaning into the satisfaction I gained from these activities was the catalyst for three life-changing events which happened almost simultaneously.

  1. I took the first steps to studying and gaining a qualification in Interior Design & Decorating
  2. I applied for a position with a world-class acoustic and design consultancy
  3. I designed a 200m² home which went on to be built by my ‘then’ husband and myself

In 2021, almost 30 years later, I took a leap of faith and launched Langdon-Hyde Interior Design.
