Recipe for Rosé Sangria Spritzer

Sparkling rosé sangria spritzer

The UK’s recent heatwave has prompted me to do some alfresco entertaining. This refreshing cocktail is the perfect accompaniment, or aperitif, for an impromptu open air feast. It’s quick and easy to prepare but please remember to allow time to chill. (That’s you and the drink!)

For 6 people you will need:

Ingredients for spritzer

  • juice of 2 large oranges
  • 75ml Grand Marnier
  • 750ml rosé wine
  • 500ml sparkling water
  • ice

To garnish:

  • orange and strawberry slices
  • raspberries
  • mint leaves

Method to make spritzer

  1. In a large jug, mix the orange juice, Grand Marnier and rosé wine
  2. Chill
  3. Just before serving add 500ml sparkling water
  4. Garnish

My Hacks

I substituted the Grand Marnier with Cointreau to make the drink a little lighter as it was served at lunchtime.

My Opinion

This was a lovely aperitif for a hot summer’s day.

Enjoy!
