Splashing Out In Bath

A recent excursion to the West Country gave me the perfect excuse for splashing out in Bath. Whilst glamping on Mill Farm in Paulshot I took a short trip to the nearby Roman Spa town for a shopping spree.
The first shop that caught my eye was Holloways of Ludlow. Spread over two floors it housed a superb collection of modern furniture and an extensive range of ceiling and wall lights.
My next port of call was OKA. Having recently received their latest catalogue I was curious to see the featured pieces looked in real life.
Housed in a handsome sandstone building the showroom was a haven of beautiful room sets and wall displays.
The autumnal tones of this rug and cushions worked perfectly with he neutral furniture and midnight blue walls.

Across the road India Jane’s showroom was in an equally impressive building. The curved glass windows looked stunning furnished with decorative urns and white pedestals.
I managed to dip in and out of quite a few of the shops but my favourite was definitely Sam Wilson.

Inspired by the British Countryside she specialises in fine bone china, textile products, gifts and prints. This was the perfect place to pick up some early Christmas presents and cards.
Before heading off I made a quick dash to view the Royal Crescent. Overlooking a green and the park beyond the honey-coloured Georgian buildings and location are absolutely stunning.
I would love to return to Bath when it is decked out for Christmas as I imagine it will be full of charm and atmosphere. The journey time is approximately two hours so definitely a possibility!
